UFC 268: USMAN VS COVINGTON II

Madison Square Garden will be the host for a rematch that has been years in the making between rivals Colby Covington and the UFC's current Undisputed Champion Kamaru Usman. The UFC is known for ending the year with a bang and this card does not disappoint! We also have another rematch between the Strawweight Champ Rose Namajunas and former champion Zhang Weili. Their first fight has become one of the greatest moments in UFC history as Rose landed a devastating head kick that changed the landscape of the division. You know this card is loaded when the best fight of the night isn't the co or the main event. The people's main event will also include top Lightweight's Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler, this fight will be a slugfest for the ages! With so many good fights and such a quick turn around from last week's event in Abu Dhabi lets not waste anytime and dive right in! The rematch between Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman may be one of the most heated rivalries the UFC has seen in the last ten years. These two men genuinely dislike each other, but after their first war there is no way they don't respect one another. This second fight has been looming over Usman's legacy as their was some questionable moments in their first battle, but with that being said I believe the outcome was eminent. Since their first fight both men have taken different paths. Colby has only fought one time since losing to Usman in 2019, meanwhile Usman has stayed active and continues to show improvement each and every outing. With Usman getting the better of Colby in their first fight, lets see what Vegas thinks!

Usman opened as a -350 favorite and since then has dwindled down to -300. Any line that opens at more than a -200 is a pass for me on any type of straight bet. I don't see any value for that much risk for such little reward. After watching Usman over the last two years there is no denying that he is the best in the division. With that being said I do believe Colby will have his moments but I also believe Usman comes into this rematch with a different game plan. Look for Usman to utilize his wrestling and engage in a lot more clinch work in this fight. I believe Usman will outmatch Colby and once again this will be a long grueling match for both men and my play for the main event is Over 3.5 Rounds -135.

The co-main event will also feature a rematch between Zhang Weili and current Champion Rose Namajunas. Going into their first fight less than half a year ago Weili was the Champion and the favorite, but Rose completely shook up the entire world as she dethroned Weili in a little over a minute. The UFC's Strawweight division has been a complete whirlwind. Since 2017 there has been four different champions, including Rose twice. Personally I believe this fight can go in any direction. Rose has proven she has knockout power and usually rises to the occasion but Zhang is one hell of a fighter and simply made a mistake the last time around. There is no way in hell I could bet my money against either fighter and I personally believe we will see a long grueling match between these two who both will have their moments in the fight. So with anticipating a long war in this rematch my bet for this fight will be Over 3.5 Rounds -150.

This card is stacked from beginning to end and as a fan I couldn't possibly be more excited. Like most UFC's there is a real opportunity to cash in on some of the early prelims and preliminary fights, so don't miss out!
