UFC 260: Stipe vs Miocic II

Here we go again, it is finally time for these two heavyweight titans to clash one more time! With a little over three years passing between their last bout, does anyone see this fight going any differently than their last? The odds have been set, so let’s see what stands out this weekend!

UFC Heavyweight Championship: Francis Ngannou vs Stipe Miocic MONEYLINE:

Miocic +100 Ngannou -120 TO GO THE DISTANCE: Yes +320 No -460 METHOD OF VICTORY: Miocic by KO/TKO or DQ +210

Miocic by Submission +2100

Miocic by Decision/Technical Decision +420

Tie/Technical Tie +5000

Ngannou by KO/TKO or DQ +100

Ngannou by Submission +1300

Ngannou by Decision/Technical Decision +3400

METHOD/ROUND COMBO:

Ngannou by KO/TKO & Round 1 +210

What can you possibly say about this highly anticipated rematch that hasn't already been said? We have to ask ourselves what has changed in the last three years? Going into that first fight Stipe found himself still being disrespected and underestimated by the oddsmakers even though he has already proven himself as possibly the greatest heavyweight fighter of all time. Ngannou had all the hype and was expected to add Miocic to his list of victims but Francis was put through a clinic in MMA.

Miocic once again proved himself as a seasoned veteran finding himself one step ahead of Francis the entire fight. Once Stipe was able to weather the storm that Ngannou brings in the first round we saw an exposed Ngannou. Francis was absolutely exhausted after three minutes of fighting with Stipe and it showed. Stipe was able to mix in some technical boxing along with his dominant wrestling to control Francis for the remainder of that fight.

After Stipe successfully defended his belt he went onto fight a trilogy against Daniel Cormier winning two of those three fights. Stipe looked like an all time athlete in all three of those fights and solidified himself as arguably the GOAT of the division. Stipe is 8-1 in his last 9 fights, winning 6 of those fights by KO/TKO. Miocic deserves his respect and on Saturday he plans to demand it,

After Stipe derailed all of Ngannou's momentum he stumbled in his following fight dropping a decision loss to Derrick Lewis in what was one of the strangest non-fights you'll ever see. Both fighters were hesitant to exchange for a full 15 minutes and the judges ruled in Lewis' favor because he technically was the aggressor in the fight. If anything this was more of a mental lapse rather than anything physical and Francis would quickly shake that off and go onto win his next four fights in devastating fashion.

So here we are again, let's run it back! What are my picks going into this weekend?! MONEYLINE: Miocic +100 Call me crazy but time and time again Stipe has proven the doubters wrong and has rose to the challenge and I see this fight being almost a mirror image of the first. I understand that Francis has improved, but he still lacks experience. In Francis' last four fights combined he's only been in the Octagon for a total of two minutes and forty two seconds. Ngannou has not had to show any wrestling or even had anyone test his takedown defense since his first fight with Stipe. If Stipe can survive the first three minutes of round one I believe the fight will heavily swing into Miocic's favor.

TO GO THE DISTANCE: Yes +320

These are pretty good odds and out of the two I would lean toward the fight ending either within the first minute or deep into the Championship rounds where Miocic will be able to put an exhausted Ngannou out, but even with all that being said I still believe this fight goes the distance.

METHOD OF VISTORY: Miocic by Decision/Technical Decision +420

I truly believe this fight will be an all out brawl but I do see Stipe riding out a decision win over Francis and with these high of odds you can't pass it up! METHOD/ROUND COMBO:

Ngannou by KO/TKO & Round 1 +220

This is the insurance bet for this fight. If Francis wins this fight it will be in the first round in a wild exchange. I genuinely believe that if this fight sees the second round there is zero chance Francis can win but at +220 it's a good idea to lay some money on this line to even out your money on Miocic.

Can Miocic once again dodge "The Predator's" bombs, or will one of them finally land this time around?! I can't wait to find out!
